Working in event production means stepping into the action hours before guests arrive, making sure everything is set up exactly the way the bride, groom, or client envisioned it. At Personal Touch Dining, the company I work for, our team arrives early to walk the space, organize the setup, answer questions, and make last-minute adjustments so everything looks intentional and comes together smoothly. Because we handle both catering and event coordination, there are many moving pieces, and every detail has to stay aligned.
Once the day gets moving, I’m checking timelines, keeping everyone on schedule, and making sure transitions happen naturally. There’s always something unexpected — a décor shift, a timing change, or a quick fix — and that’s the part I secretly love. Staying calm, thinking quickly, and making it all look seamless is where the fun is.
But nothing beats the moment the couple or client sees their space for the first time. Watching their excitement, relief, and happiness makes every hour of prep worth it. Events are busy, unpredictable, and full of moving parts — but helping create someone’s favorite day is something I’ll never get tired of.
